Email address was entered wrong, how do I access account

Hello, could anyone tell me how my son can access his account on Xbox one? My daughter set up the account on our old Xbox 360 which was sold 2 years ago. She set it up and entered my [mom] email address wrong! She left out a letter in my email address.

We have tried several different things for him to access it but nothing has worked. Even called support a few times. Any help would be very appreciated, thank you

Change email address linked to my account

Is there any way to change the email address associated to my account even though I do not have access to it or know the password. The reason I do not know either of these is because the email address was entered in wrong when my account was made about
4 years ago and I have forgotten the password I entered. Now that there is so many extra features that can gained by having full access to my account.

So is there any details I can give Microsoft support allowing them to verify my identity and change my email address and password?

I entered the wrong email address.

I entered the wrong email address when I signed up for live. Now every time I sign in I use the wrong email address. Is there any why to change it or do I have to start a new account?

Normally when an account is setup as long as its not a Microsoft account email (Hotmail, MSN, outlook, live) it will want to verify that you have access to the email (this is something new and wasn't a requirement during the 360 days so if this is the case
and the email was never verified you can follow the following steps.

If you know the email (wrong one) and the password for the account you can sign in at account.live.com it should then pop up a box basically saying that they need to verify the email.

There should also be a link there to change what email used for the Microsoft account once you click on that link you can then change the email on the account.

I haven't tried this for awhile but this might work for you.

Go here - Sign in to your Microsoft account

And it will ask you to sign in and use the invalid email and then it should give you an option to add a valid email address.

You must be getting the email or password wrong, or you are entering the wrong email address or password for the account you are trying to download. Can you try again and make sure you have typed your email and password correctly? Remember that they're
case sensitive.

If you still can't do it, could you check that the account you want to access is linked to the correct email address/Windows LIVE ID?
