    Email address is "unavailable"


    When I try to sign into microsoft apps on windows 10 (such as xbox live), I used my phone number, which is linked to my account. It then asks that I provide an email address. I typed the wrong email address. It says it has sent a code. I have two options,
    send it again or fix it. I go to fix it and correctly put in the email that is linked to my microsoft account and it says it is "unavailable".

    Hi,

    You'll want to read the information listed here in order to make the e-mail change from
    one gamertag to another. If the e-mail that you wish to change it to has a Xbox LIVE account already associated with it, then you'd need to move that e-mail before you're able to make use of that e-mail on another account. This is because only 1 e-mail address
    can be associated with 1 gamertag/account.

    Greetings, Johnny! It sounds like you need to change your Windows LIVE ID. Is that correct? Here are the steps to do this on your console:

    support.xbox.com/.../manage-live-id

    Hi Johnny,

    I'm not sure exactly what your question is. It sounds like you want to change you Windows Live ID. You should be able to go to www.live.com. Select your name in the upper right corner and go to "account". From there you should see the option to "change
    live ID". Then check out
    support.xbox.com/.../change-xbox-live-account-info    , if you have any questions with Xbox and Live ID.
