    Hello,

    So I just bought the The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Pre-purchase. I thought it was going to be like skyrim where I could just play on my console and not have to buy x-box live. Will that be possible? Is there
    another way to buy the game? Does the game even work like that? Should I just buy skyrim? I don't want to keep having to pay for online if that is required.

    I just wanted to clear this up, do you own The Elder Scrolls Online Base game (or does it come with the Elsweyr pre-purchase)? Elsweyr is DLC and needs the base game to run.

    The Elder Scrolls Online is a multiplayer game which will require Xbox Gold.

    Elsweyr is a exspansion on the base game, which means you will need to have base game to be able to play it.

    Without Xbox live you are playing offline. With elder scrolls ONLINE yes you would need xbox live.

    Hello Clarke,

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. The Elder Scrolls Online does need Xbox live gold. This game is purely online multiplayer, there is no single player content.

    Hope this helps! You can never go wrong with Skyrim while we wait for Elder scrolls 6!

    Gold is required for ESO, it would be great if it wasnt but ESO is online only.
