Elite Xbox one controller malfunction

I bought brand new elite Xbox one controller December 27th, 2017, at Wal-Mart. I purchased the protection plan, (Having bought the same controller 2 months prior to that, and it broke with a week), but I lost my reciept. The right joy stick moves up without
me touching it, and I know it isn't due to the game or the Xbox needing to be shut off. (Tried that already). This is very disappointing! I paid 80 dollars for ANOTHER controller and it malfunctioned again within 2 months of owning it! What is worst, I bought
a protection plan and cannot use it because I cannot locate the receipt and neither can Wal-Mart. I tried registering my controller and yet the system keeps showing errors. Please help!! I do not wamt to buy anither controller for the same issues to keep occuring!
I want to game without the controller causing me problems!

XBOX Elite Controller headset malfunctions.

This has been an issue for a few months now, my Xbox elite controller is having some issue with any headset I use. Note I updated my elite controller to keep it current. First the microphone is not working at all, I can use both my headsets on my other controllers
and they work both audio and microphone. Then at random (if I have a headset plugged into my elite controller) my controller will malfunction (crash or something it sounds like a my Xbox system is crashing but it is just the controller) and it will reboot.

When i first had this issue i thought is was my headset so i plugged it into another controller and it worked fine. Then I thought it was my elite controller needed to be updated so i went to the options and then devices and update the elite controller which
did not change anything.

Is there are solution that I can use or is this a repairable device.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Hey there TheScoobaJoe.

The issue definitely appears to be an issue with your current controller. If you plug it in via USB, and then connect your headset do you still have any issues?

Like I said before, I've used different controllers, including one of my friend's controllers at some point when she came over before. Elites, basics, custom, Tech series, they all malfunction.

I would say yes. A lot of elite controllers (series 1 and 2) have several manifacturing problems, the most common are RB/LB malfunctioning and sticks.
