    I will just repost because i'm glad I'm not the only one in the world with this problem. It was hard for me to find people with the same problem and it seems that the new v2 Elite Controller is faulty too.

    If anyone with the same problem succeed with getting a working controller can they please contact me. I'm really desperate and I'm starting to think that I have a problem with my hardware maybe. What's the probability to have the exact SAME problem on three
    different controllers?

    I don't want an exchange if I'm not 100% sure that the new one will FINALLY work.

    I want to warn everyone. This is getting pretty crazy. I will tell you my story.

    I've bought 2 Xbox One controllers in the last 3 months.

    When I received the first one I started noticing something strange with the A button. Sometimes it will fail to register at some angle. I'm getting pretty good at reproducing it it's not quite hard. It's REALLY hard to play competitive Rocket League when
    you know that A is your jump button. It's failing to register multiple times a day.

    So I'm doing the sensible thing and ask for an exchange. (Controller bought from a retailer).

    I receive the new one, 1 week later. SAME EXACT PROBLEM. You gotta to be kidding me! I'm so mad, I've just accepted the fact that the new Xbox controllers are quite cheap and I don't ask for a third exchange because this is so stupid. Also I was awaiting
    the Elite Series 2 (preorder when announced at E3).

    I've received it today. You guess what. EXACT SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. On a 180€ controller bought from the Microsoft Store. This is ridiculous. I've no words for this. I did a clean install of Windows10. It did nothing. I JUST WANT A WORKING CONTROLLER IS IT
    TOO HARD [Mod removed- inappropriate]

    I really don't know what to do. I'm desperate. Xbox controllers are the best for me but the whole situation is ridiculous.

    I have the exact same issue in rocket league with the elite series 2 controller. I had to spend a while in training to figure out what was going on. Like you stated, it's only certain angles on the "A" button where it doesn't register. Once I find that
    angle, I can press the button as many times as I want and it will not register. It's not your hardware. It's definitely the controller.

    I was going to return mine for a replacement through their warranty program but it sounds like it might be a broader problem with all of their elite controllers. I can use my normal Xbox one controller (yeah, the $40 one) and not have any issues. I know
    it's not my hardware.

    Same problem, A button not always working on Elite series 2 controller, straight out the box. Returned it to Microsoft store, still waiting to hear back from them 1 week on.

    I also have the problem with the A button. I bought the first Elite2

    in the Moicrosoft Store .... again. Then I bought in the market and he also has the problem.

    I'm [Mod removed- inappropriate] off! Now I buy a normal controller.

    The original controller of my Xbox one X was already broken when unpacking!

    Is it possible you are having an issue with a conflicting app such as the accessories app, I.E the xbox accessories mapping feature or app itself is out of date...? Windows 10 clean install tells me that the apps and features in 1908 release ( xbox app
    - now called xbox companion) may be mapping this button incorrectly. Additionally you can test in windows the imput registration by going to Start=>Run=>Type JOY.CPL, selecting the controller and testing the inputs such as the A button. This may give you a
    visual of the registration of the inputs which may not be the issue but the game or programs internal button settings. Hope that helps you troubleshoot a little more, the more you eliminate the closer you come to the solution.

    Talk about horrible luck my man... sorry. I saw a bunch of posts about things wrong with Series 2 out of the box and it had me worried when mine arrived today! Happy to say it functions without any issues.
