Elite Series 2 with a 3 year warranty and need to exchange.

I have an Elite Series 2 with a 3 year warranty plan. It's been well taken care of but some of the buttons have become unresponsive to the point I can't use it.

Everytime I try to find support, the automated systems gives me a "This controller is out of warranty"...no kidding robot, or it's impossible to speak to a live person and the phone automation tells me to go to the website then hangs up on me.

Pretty frustrated.

They've closed all physical locations around me.

I need to know the steps and process to get a real person on this for me so I can make an exchange.

Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge" usually works for me.

They recently extended the warranty for elite 2 to one year. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/elite-controller-series-2-warranty . maybe this will help

The Elite Series 2 controller has a 1 year warranty.

If your controller isn’t working and needs replacing, go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/controller/controller-warranty and
enter the controller’s serial number at the bottom of that page. For the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, the 14-character serial number is in the lower centre on the back of the controller.

I bought Xbox Wireless Elite Series 2 Controller, Here in EU (Greece) all controllers have 1 year warranty and the Series X/S consoles 2 years.

It definitely should have been a year. From late 2020:

"To ensure your satisfaction, we’re extending the warranty coverage period on Elite Series 2 controllers from 90 days to 1 year from the date of purchase."
