    Elite Series 2 Trash QA/QC


    I don’t know how many times we consumers have to say this to you microsoft but your elite series 2 has some of the most abysmal durability I’ve ever seen, a warranty of 5 years wouldn’t even cover how likely they are to fail. I’ve went through three of them and I was extra careful with them. the first one came out of the box with electrical issues and randomly disconnecting/turning off. which later developed into an auto tilt/stick drift.

    I then got it replaced, the replacement instantly also started randomly disconnecting and turning off. and now my final replacement within my now expired warranty refuses to connect to my xbox via bluetooth or via the usb cable and power cycling it won’t change anything nor can I update it.

    I’m never going to buy something like this from microsoft again. the amount of complaints I’ve seen from various other people who have bought it, paired with microsoft’s lack of addressing the issue or even extending warranties or performing recalls.

    it’s like the people who make the controllers in the factory play football with them then proceed to pour water on each one. How long until any of this is addressed? your 60 dollar controllers shouldn’t last longer than your most expensive ones.

    if the executives who would change something about a product like this only see it as a cash grab, that’s fine, but if you seek brand loyalty you must instill trust in the products and services you provide. I’m assuming all the stuff requiring power in the controller causes some sort of voltage discharge because a lot of these problems stem from electricity.

    How could something as fundamental as this be missed during a proper QA/QC procedure is beyond my perception.
    Completely agree. I'm already sending my third console for service. This is frustrating to say the least.

    If you just got it, its under warranty. Don't give up and just deal with it. That won't help you or MS in the long run.

    I haven't bothered with the 2nd series but had the original elite and that had some issues also but overall was a great controller.

    I havent seen as much comments about the quality of the 2nd one so am hopeful it's better and they listened to some feedback.

    As for your issues as suggested if under warranty send it back.

    Also ensure you send feedback as this is the way they will know the exact issues and how frequent it occurs then they can look to see if it's a design issue, a build issue etc

    And My 'A' button is very bad..
