Elite series 2 sync and mapping issues?

I just bought the elite series 2. I already updated it. I can manually connect it wirelessly just fine. But if I plug it in to charge then unplug it. It just keeps blinking for a min or 2 then it shuts off. The only way I can connect it again wirelessly is if I remove Bluetooth device then find a new one and reconnect it. Also, I tried mapping the p1 and p2 to LT and RT. But when I go in a game it doesn’t stay that way. P1 is still the A or X button and P2 is the the other button. I really hope this is human error. Because this is a lot of money. I know my Bluetooth/Wi-Fi card works because I have zero issues with my PS5 controller. What is the deal?

Edit: I returned it and paid another $50 for the warranty on the exchange and I am having the same issues. Controller will not reconnect wirelessly when I unplug the cord. Also I just updated the controller firmware and now my pc can’t discover it. Wth??? Same problem as the other controller. I don’t think these controllers are as supported as everyone claims.

i have the standard issue for xbox one x an elite series 1 and an elite series 2 and i can honestly say the elite series are worth the money

I apologize for the issue you're experiencing with your Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. Kindly follow the steps below to try to resolve the issue:

1. Make sure the controller is updated to the latest firmware. To do this, follow these steps:

2. Make sure the paddles are properly attached to the controller. If the paddles are not properly attached, they may not register when pressed.

3. Check the preset configuration for the paddles. Go to "Settings" and select "Devices & streaming," then choose "Accessories" and select your Elite Series 2 controller. From there, you can adjust the preset configuration for the paddles.

4. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to reset the controller. To do this, follow these steps:

- Press and hold the small sync button on the top of the controller until the Xbox button flashes.

- Let go of the sync button.

- Press and hold the sync button on the controller again until the Xbox button stops flashing.

If you continue to experience issues with the paddles on your Elite Series 2 controller, you may need to contact Xbox Support for further assistance.

That seems totally strange to me. It can't be an analogue digital hing as it allows you to map, say, the right trigger, to a button.

Well you can't re-map the triggers on the Standard or Elite Series 1 controller, but you can with the Elite Series 2. It does seem like an analog/digital thing. I hope its not to hard to add the stick direction re-mapping function to the Series 2.

I will send feedback to Microsoft about this.
