    Elite Series 2 Replacement Process. How do you get updates on your service request?


    I sent my Elite 2 controller back to Microsoft because it had the apparently very common problem of double clicking bumpers.

    According to the tracking number on the shipping label they sent me, the controller was received 4 days ago, yet the order status on my account still says that I need to make sure they receive it within 30 days or they'll cancel my order. I'm on day 14 of
    this entire process and I can't find any phone number or email address to contact Xbox and get an update on what's going on.

    If anyone knows who to contact I'd appreciate the info very much.

    Also if you have gone through this process before how was your experience? Because mine has been awful and stressing so far.

    I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble creating a service order for your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 online through the Microsoft devices support website. The controller replacement form you are referring to only applies to Standard Xbox
    One Wireless controllers or the Series 1 Elite controller since the Elite Series 2 is serialized like a console and has a year warranty. I'm not sure how you are getting placed in a loop on the support website, but hopefully, I can walk you through the process
    of requesting a replacement, step by step.

    1. Log in to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/devices.
    2. Register your controller using the 14 digits serial number on the back of the controller or select your controller if you have already registered it.
    3. Towards the bottom, select Start a Service order.
    4. Select Hardware and drivers, then select Paddle issue.
    5. Provide additional information about the issue and then select Next.
    6. Fill in the required information to complete the service order and be presented with a confirmation screen and a service order number to track the order.

    Follow those steps and let us know if you run into any other issues.

    Sorry to hear that you were having issues with the sticks of your controller. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your Xbox Wireless Elite Controller Series 2. If update of the controller and of the device's system (Xbox Console or PC Operating System) did not help your issue - Update your Xbox Wireless Controller | Xbox Support.

    Please request for your controller to be serviced - Getting your Xbox device serviced | Xbox Support or if you still have warranty, you may request for a replacement - Request an Xbox controller replacement | Xbox Support.

    Happened to me too. A company as big as Microsoft and you can't even request service for a faulty device. Feels like a class-action lawsuit.
