Elite series 2 Is breaking down and I don’t know what to do

This tool provides troubleshooting steps for you to resolve you controller issue. If the Wizard identifies a need for a replacement, you will have to sign in and enter the controller serial number in the Controller Warranty Check Form to determine the controller warranty status (based on initial controller activation date).

If you have warranty, you will be able to request a replacement via the Hardware Webform.

If it is out of warranty, you will be directed to where you can purchase a new controller.

I would recommend an Elite series 2 WITH A WARRANTY. The series 2 is a nice controller to own but has a history of breaking down at the worst times. If you get an extended warranty it will make the purchase worth it.

It’s an XBOX elite series 2 controller I don’t need the charge kit I’m just asking if I can connect the charging dock via USB hub on my PC as for the XBOX accessories app and the profiles it still doesn’t work but I don’t know what else to do I’ve tried everything but at least my controller works fine so I’m just dealing with it.

You can do that with the Elite Series 2 controller. You have to add your home theater to your Xbox if you haven't already.

Using the Xbox Accessories app I added the Volume up, down and mute to the dpad up, down and right to my 3rd preset on my Elite Series 2 controller.

I think the average life span for a 360 is about 2 years, so keep that in mind. Buying a 360 is like buying a ford or chevy, you know it's going to break down, it's just a matter of when. Hopefully Microsoft will remember what happened to the big three:
People stopped buying them because of poor quality (for the record, I don't blame the workers, it's the parts.) I bought the Elite 360 as my 3rd xbox360. I had heard that they are less likely to break down because some of the electronic parts had been improved.
From what I've heard (please note that I HEARD,) this was done only on the Elite. I'm not absolute on what I've heard, but it was enough for me to spend the extra on the Elite. Mine is now almost 2...I'm getting nervous...
