Elite Series 2 Controller Service Repair

Well, I now applied for a 2nd repair service and will send the XBox Elite Series 2 controller back soon.

Click on your console, then info and support and then Start Order to start the process of getting it repaired.
Use Accessory > Elite Series 2 Controller from the dropdown.

The elite controller series one did have a few faults but did have a good repair back up system but the stronger one is the series 2.

I see, it's not, indeed. But Microsoft offers repair services for the Elite 2 controllers. But you have the option to take it to a repair store also, for them to analyze your controller, it might be a hardware issue indeed. :/

I don't think MS does out of warranty controller repairs on anything other than Elite Series 2s. The Elite Series 2 cost obviously depends on the country you're in, but in the UK for example, they charge £77. Here's the list of prices by country: -

If it's not an Elite Series 2 you have, you'd either have to repair it yourself or get a third party repair place to do it. Replacement stick modules are really cheap, but you need pretty advanced soldering skills and the proper equipment to be able to do the job.

In some cases, you're just better off buying a new one IMO, e.g. you can get a brand new current gen Xbox controller for £39.99 from Amazon that will come with a 12 month warranty. A third party repair place will charge £20 at least, plus shipping costs both ways, and they will only guarantee their work for a short time.
