elite series 2 controller return

Hello,

I bought an xbox elite series 2 controller October 11, 2020, and have had nothing but issues with the bluetooth connectivity since purchase. I have already had the controller replaced once and the issue is exactly the same on the new controller. I refuse to purchase an additional unnecessary XBOX wireless dongle that is NOT MENTIONED on the sales page as being a required accessory.

I've also looked online and the issue is clearly a defect in the design of the product and not a device malfunction. The controller is advertised as having bluetooth capability but it is frankly unusable in games like Skyrim and Call of Duty Modern Warfare due to the controller struggling to stay connected and literally lagging the game out until it either fully disconnects or finds the connection again. I am 2 feet away from my bluetooth-enabled computer, so it's not out of range. The worst part is that the controller stays connected until I try and start playing a game. It then starts to lose connectivity and causes massive stutters. As soon as I leave the game, it's working fine again. This is a widespread issue affecting everyone using the controller as far as I am aware.

The controller also of course has the issue where after you plug the controller in, you must remove and re-add the controller in bluetooth settings. An obnoxious extra step to always have to take.

This is an unacceptable defect and false advertisement for a 180 dollar "elite" controller. My 2012 PS4 controller works FLAWLESSLY on all games over bluetooth.

With all of this in mind, the only way I will be satisfied is if Microsoft refunds the cost of the controller and allows me to return it. It is still covered under warranty.

Is it an Elite Series 2 Controller?

If so you have till January 31 to return or exchange it if you purchased it from the Microsoft online store.

I have the exact same problem. Im never buying another elite controller again. I had series 1 which broke and had to return, and now this on my series 2. Microsoft will never learn how to make reliable controller

Same problem, A button not always working on Elite series 2 controller, straight out the box. Returned it to Microsoft store, still waiting to hear back from them 1 week on.
