Elite Series 2 Controller Button Mapping Problem

I am trying to map left and Right bumper buttons to the Elite paddles. However no matter what I do, the paddles remain with the default binding.

So the two upper paddles mapped to A and B buttons by default. If I change the A paddle to be Left Bumper and the B paddle to be Right bumper, Then I assign this config to slot one.

When I return to the Game (Rocket League) The is no change to the way the paddles work they remain as A and B. What wrong, Why can I not change the mapping?

No I realised looking at the picture I posted that I had mapped the wrong paddles! My bad. Working now.

Feeling like a Muppet now.

Looking at that picture shows that everything should be in order. My last suggestion is removing/ resetting the app data through app management in your storage. I've been reading similar issues with the Series 1 controller were fixed by removing profile
data from the app then relaunching it. If none of these software related solutions help, then it might be a hardware or game related issue. Does this only happen with Rocket League?

It shouldn't need to be. I would go ahead and try just to be sure. Also make sure you controller is up to date. When you are over your controller in the device selection screen, hit the 3 dots at the bottom left and the firmware should be version 4.8.1908.0.

Another method could be to directly edit the default layouts by selecting a configuration already assigned to a slot and then scrolling over to the pencil icon at the top center. Just to be sure, the lights in the center are correctly lit up? Off is 0 or
no profile active.
