Elite series 2 controller and poor bluetooth to no bluetooth with ASRock Z590M-ITX/ax

Hello,

I just purchased an elite series 2 controller and cannot keep bluetooth connectivity with the controller. I start playing a game and almost as soon as I start the game starts to lag and then the bluetooth connection drops. Then once I look at my bluetooth list the device is not even on my connected devices list. Please help me out here. Stats are below.

I agree with the BT drivers. Unless you install the drivers from the motherboard website Windows will install generic or even outdated drivers.

Also worth updating Windows.

Firstly, you will probably have less issues if your Windows was up-to-date as your version is from February...the current Windows 10 version is:

Windows 10 21H1 Version 19043.1165

As to the Bluetooth issues, it's possible it's Windows not installing good enough Bluetooth drivers for your Wi-Fi adapter (it includes an integrated BT controller). Assuming updating Windows doesn;t solve it (wouldn't be surprised if it did), then you will want to download the BT drivers direct from Intel:

You can either download direct via the link on that page or, a better option, would be to use the automatic driver tool on that page which will automatically detect the device and install it

Yep. I used to help out on a computer company's forum advising on PC specs to buy etc and a common issue was missing or oudated BT drivers on Intel motherboard integrated Wi-Fi modules

The elite series one controller never had Bluetooth so you would've received exactly what you ordered if you need Bluetooth you need a new edition standard controller or an elite series 2

the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.
