    Elite series 2 buttons not responding fresh out of the box


    Received a brand new elite series 2 today. Fresh out of the box, the Y button responds less than 50% of the time. If performing other actions simultaneously such as movement or jumping, the button has a less than 10% response rate. Tested in games, with
    the accessories app, and on both xbox and PC. All software updated, all troubleshooting steps tried. The A and X buttons seem to also have response issues, but not nearly as bad as the Y button.

    This is clearly a manufacturing defect. I looked up the issue and it seems hundreds, if not thousands of consumers are having this issue with brand new series two controllers. There is a thread on reddit with over 5k replies where many people
    have posted about these issues, and people with controllers with the same production lot as mine (1943) are reporting the exact same buttons not working.

    What should I do to have this controller replaced?

    You should either request an exchange at the retail store where it was purchased or you can submit a
    service request at the Microsoft Device Support site. If it doesn't show on your profile after you log in, you can register the controller there, and then submit a request for
    service/replacement of the device. This would be the same process for in and out of warranty services for consoles and accessories.

    Try to use your cable to update the controller if that's don't work. Then go back to the store where you get the controller and ask for a replacement.

    You usually have a week with the store.

    Also remember you only have 90 days of warranty eith Xbox.

    Elite v2 Controller A button broken (input registering), third faulty Xbox one controller in three months!

    Same problem, A button not always working on Elite series 2 controller, straight out the box. Returned it to Microsoft store, still waiting to hear back from them 1 week on.

    Last month i bought a normal xbox one controller and the RB button suddenly started jumping 2 places everytime i clicked it and it wasnt useable so i went out and bought an elite series 2 controller and the exact same thing has happened with this
    after a week of using it so if you dont get what i mean say im on the home screen tab and i click the RB button it would jump to the Mixer tab instead of going 1 place to the game pass tab anyone know why this happens
    Same, after using my elite series 2 since it came out on Day 1, my RB doesn’t respond. When i click it with a slight touch on my LB, it responds, but when I do the same press, it doesn’t respond. This started happening 2 days ago out of nowhere. Any fixes?
