Elite Or Normal

Hello....... I have a question. Should I get the Elite bundle or just go get the normal version? This is going to be my first XBOX this gen. Love the Elite controller.

im having same issue on a normal 360 elite 120gb.

 

Anybody else going through controllers?

Got a Day One, two normal & an Elite - No problems whatsoever.

 

I just bought the Elite bundle, don't notice any difference in the SSD Hybrid drive to my Original Day One console (apart from size) , but the controller is the dogs nuts. I would go for the Elite if you can, I reused the Kinect from my original.

 

You will need to decide.

Unfortunately standard controllers are not standing the test of time very well.

I treat my controllers like delicate swans and won't even allow you to look at them if you're eating... yet my Day 1 controller still developed a mysterious drift and my wife's controller has a faulty D pad.

The elite controller is well made and has a nice feel to it but it's ridiculously expensive for a peripheral.

You'd have to be a fool to buy one at the current asking price and if my wife wasn't a fool for love I wouldn't currently have one (but she is and I do).

 

If you have the cash then go for the Elite bundle I would say.

I wouldn't mind getting an Elite pad but I refuse to pay that amount for one.

I recently invested in the Halo 5 Master Chief controller and I am very impressed with it.

 

Personally now I own one I don't think you would be a fool to buy one at the current price, its extremely well made body wise, completely configurable to your own layouts, with multiple layouts storable, its app comes pre-loaded with recommended configurations
for some games. The swap over paddles, thumb sticks and D-Pads work beautifully. And considering a bog standard controller is £35 to £40 the extra is justified by the quality, purely my opinion others may vary but at the end of the day quality costs money.

 

I agree if you have the money go ahead and get the Elite bundle. Happy Gaming!

 

My opinion is go elite all the way

The controller alone is worth it, but the SSD Hybrid is a nice bonus too.

I wish the HDD was user replaceable so I could put one in mine.

 

It will definitely give you the availability to load more games to your console prior to going to an external solution. However, if you want to go to an external solution you might consider doing it now vs. having to move the games in the future. Of course
you won't have to move any games it is just an option so if you decide you want to go to a friend's house and play your games you can take your external drive with you and be all set. That is what I did. All my games are on my external drive and currently

You can find much better bundle deals available for the standard version. I'd start with a bundle, then find an elite controller later.

So someone who thinks $150 isn't a large amount of money is a fool? Seems to me you have that a bit backwards. If someone earns enough money to afford a $150 toy without batting an eyelash then there's a good chance they're doing something right in life.

When you get on a flight, do you tell the people in first class that they're all fools?

 

Depends. Flying to Chicago from Detroit for a day can cost up to $1500.00 first class (Seen as low as $605.00.), while economy runs about $331.00; while I could afford the higher fair, probably would feel foolish spending the extra coin for a hour flight.

I've always got into the habit of having a spare console since the whole RRoD thing. My Day One is still going strong but i'm feeling the need for a console upstairs so will be getting an Elite in the near future. The reviews are awesome.
