Love space shooters. Colony Wars has been my favorite. Haven't played a real good one since then. Excited about this title.

I'm checking out Elite Dangerous when it comes out on Xbox One, that looks like my kind of game I will enjoy, and since you said it's hard, is the difficult on Battlestar Galactica level (the game on the PS2 & Original Xbox)?

 

Gonna to download it,today but i want to finish Witcher 3 before playing it....Arf,life of a gamer can be hard sometimes...

 

Keep in mind the preview is only one hour and given how LARGE this game is, the hour is mostly confusing as you are learning the game. Saw a lot of twitch streams with people saying the game sucks as they were having a hard time with controls up till the
end of the hour. Im worried a lot will pass on this game due to the learning curve.

 

I downloaded the trial, did docking and turned it off. I felt that I was having to rush myself which I don't want. Just going to buy it tomorrow instead. I'm confident I'm going to love this game.

 

It may not be the learning curve that's turning people off but rather the actual control setup is bad.

I own it on the PC and if the console version has the same options then I don't see how they can possibly bind them all to a controller without it being a nightmare. There is thread after thread in the PC forums discussing keybindings with a single controller
and no one has done it without needing a secondary device (keyboard, G13, etc).

Valid point, but you don't need to map ALL commands. A KB can take some of the load. I only use ten - twelve keys on my KB infrequently. The rest are on my Joystick.

I spent three hours in training (PC) and should have done more before getting in the game. It is a steep curve, but well worth it.

You are getting the CQC before us and that's got a lot of the PC players fuming. Good thing is you'll have lots of PVP practice.

Microsoft should add a flight stick to there line up or add the mapping that comes with the elite conttroler for this game or any other
