ELITE DANGEROUS COMING TO XBOX ONE

Same here Lofty. The sheer scope of ED is amazing, I can see a few hundred hours getting put into this game easily.

 

Well Goat. I don't think you need me to show you the forums where the fun is happening.

I am a PC gamer and this has been the best entertainment Microsoft have ever given me.

 

Seriously, I couldn't believe how the Pc crowd was acting at the Frontier forum's earlier, very childish and over the top. Not all of them were like it, but I think a lot of them have no knowledge of consoles or console gamers at all, they truely believe
we are all 13 year olds who only play shooters, and we all have low IQ and a short concentration span. Lol.

After watching all tutorials,i can easily say that i can spend the rest of my life on it.....The way to travel to one solar system to another,buy/sell/trade resources,repair/upgrade spaceships,explorations,random events,factions,....Amazing.

Even on the Amiga and BBC Micro versions of Elite ( see what they looked like in video below lol )



I spent countless hours, flying about, buying , trading.

With what they can do on todays systems I could possibly spend the rest of my gaming days playing it

I've gone from not even knowing about the game, to it being my most anticipated games..... All in the last 3-4 day's.

 

Remember when I was in school sneaking into the IT classroom on my break times to play Elite, was a really good game back then. Only heard about this new game 2 days ago but now I'm really excited about.

I think there's quite a few others just like you. I have a few people myself on my friends list that have never played previous games, didn't know what it was about, now they are a little bit hyped for it.

 

Thing is Lofty, I Remember playing games in the 80's on various systems/computer, I can't remember any Elite games though. Tbh, all I've really done over the last few day's is watch vids on this game, I need to stop really or I'm going to get bored with
it before I've actually played it lol.

 

Too old to remember....But i sure i never played Elite,but maybe saw it on a friend PC or read something in a magazine....80's are far away...

What appeals to me most about this sort of game and it was the case with the old Elite titles, you can just go do your own thing! I would spend countless hours just flying about, exploring, then spend hours trading, then off for some more exploring.

Consoles need more games like this I say!
