    This is a lovely piece of hardware. I'm really enjoying the feel of it. However, like most, I was also disappointed that the paddles were not their own mappable buttons. Of course that makes sense: the xbox is designed to accept certain inputs, A B X Y LB
    RB LS RS LS-click RS-click D-pad and that's it. Games aren't designed to handle more inputs, neither is the One platform, so it's totally understood. I forgive you.

    But WHY, WHY ON EARTH, can you not map A+X, or B+RB, or LB+RB or ANY complex configuration in the xbox config screen? You only have a one to one correlation? I know the controller can send an on or off signal on any of those channels, including multiples at
    once -- this seems like a no brainer. It would serve almost the exact same purpose as having 4 new buttons by mapping obscure and weird combos to the paddles, things I'd never actually click. So for example in EliteElite Controller :Dangerous I could map a weird combo B+LB
    to left paddle 1 and B+RB to left Paddle 2 and then in Elite Dangerous I can map a certain function to B+LB or B+RB; now I have exactly what I wanted -- more buttons.

    Can you change this in a future software update? I just can't believe for $150 you didn't think kids out there might want to map A+X in their fighting game or whatever. What were you thinking?

    But there is no updated version of the Elite Controller. If you're referring to the White Elite Controller, that is only available for purchase through GameStop so having the in-store stock of the original Elite Controller at other retailers would have
    no effect. Besides, none of the stores have ANY version of the Elite Controller available for purchase in-store.
