Elite Controller

Just now my controller Left bumber came off. It's been taken care of extremely cautiously. I put it in it's case every time it's not in use. I've never had an issue with any controller until now. Is there a way to send it in to get it fixed or a new one
in general? It's rather a embarrassment of a company for this to happen. Some companies would gladly replace or repair it, if they cover the shipping cost. This shouldn't happen for a product that is $150.

The bumber button itself is fine, it's just the plastic cover for it is lose. The button still registers.

So I hope something can be done about this.

I do not have a receipt for it as of now, I just moved and the movers packed away my statements without asking me if it was going or not. I still do have my online bank statement that has the charge for the Elite Controller.

 

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your controller, if you feel you cannot fix the controller, and I would suggest to not open it up and tamper with it, you can take the controller back to place of purchase with proof of purchase and see if they
can sort you out with a replacement.

Thank you for your canned response, Dol. You've clearly not read this user's issue (and now mine as well.) It's apparent to me after some cursory Google searching that the bumpers on the Xbox Elite controllers are poorly made, if not flat-out defective.

The fact that the controller's warranty seems spotty at best is one thing - but that the extent of the advice as a result of the poor hardware and poor device quality is "I don't know, maybe the store can send you a new one" is simply insulting.

 

I only posted to help, I have had the controller since day one and with the correct care and treating it like a piece of hardware I have not had a single problem whatsoever with my controller. I only offered advice to the user and they can pursue from there.
You also took this way out of context, I merely offered a degree of advice and help from the best of my knowledge.

 

I've recently move to Tucson, I use to live in Hampstead, Maryland. I bought my controller at the Gamestop there. I've tried registering, it doesn't give me options for repairs, only replacement tumbsticks, d pads, and paddles.

It's failing to register my controller. I'll see about contacting Microsoft directly about it, but I do not see an option to get a direct link to them.

It's honestly pathetic that an expensive controller has this kind of an issue. Microsoft should be more than willingly to provide a simple repair for such thing if it's not in extensive damage. I also have taken great care of it yet it still has an issue.

I can't seem to find a link to contact Microsoft directly about the issue, is there a way?

It pops into place, but it fails to stay in.

 

I am not wholey dependant on the contact number in your area unfortunately, however the only thing I can suggest if going to this page:
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us and there you will find a live chat option and other forms of contact for Xbox Staff and hopefully they can direct you in the correct direction.
