Elite controller won't sync

    Elite controller won't sync


    Today I went to go play my xbox. I noticed my elite controller was blinking. I tried new batteries and hitting the sync button on both the controller and the xbox nothing. The xbox was blinking fast and the controller was slow blinking. It connected for
    few mins and noticed it said their was a firmware update. I thought well maybe that was why it was blinking. The update got to around 40% and stopped because the controller started blinking again. As i was turning the xbox off there was another update going
    on for the system. Not sure what that was about but that downloaded and restarted. Was hoping again the controller would work. I tried two different usb cables (one brand new) and still won't sync. I did a reset of holding the xbox circle on console in for
    few seconds and unplugged it for 10 mins and still not syncing. I then though a factory reset would fix it. I had to use the xbox app to use my phone as the controller and did the facotry reset and this damn controller still is not syncing....

    Any other things I might do that I haven't?

    Really frustrated!

    Hey Dol -

    Have you tried connecting your Xbox Elite controller to your Xbox One console via USB to force a sync? If that doesn't work, it sounds like getting your Elite controller repaired will be next option. Here is information on

    Having the Exact same problem. Can even sync the elite controller to the old console with no issue. Seems to be the elite controller/console combo having the issue. Full power down did allow it to resync.

    Will follow up if the issue recurs.

    Hey!

    Thanks for getting back to me! Forcing a sync with a USB that I found lying around worked great and made it sync so I can use it wireless again! I will more than likely send it in for a service anyway just to make it usable for the foreseeable future!
