Elite controller won't stay on

Has anyone had this happen, I got a used elite controller when I go to turn it on the light on the consumer will come in for a moment then I can't get out to turn back on at all. The other day I got it to turn on long enough for me to get in the accessories
on my Xbox thinking it was going to finally work then it died and I can't get it to turn back on for about 24 hours then it will turn on for maybe 2 or 3 minuets and die again. It seems the longer it stays of the longer it will stay on but I can't get it to
work for more then a couple minuets then it dies and when I try again I get either a quick flash on the controller then nothing or it won't even do that. I've tried multiple sets of brew batteries charging cords and power packs and nothing works, any ideas?

Yes, I was trying to see if maybe I was missing anything I could fix myself before I did. I can get a refund but not a replacement.

Are you able to return it to where you purchased it? It sounds like you may need to send it in for a replacement if you cannot return it https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/controllers/controller-warranty

Based on the information you've provided; it sounds like there may be a connectivity issue between your controller and your PC. Have you tried updating the firmware on your controller? This can often resolve issues with connectivity. You can do this by downloading the Xbox Accessories app on your PC and connecting your controller via USB cable.

If updating the firmware doesn't resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be a hardware problem with your controller. In this case, I would recommend you provide more details about your concern. Please let us know if you can connect your controller to your mobile device and or other PC and if the issue persists on another device. Also, please try to wired connect the controller to see if issue persist.

Hey there Pig!

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your controller.

If I were you and if you haven't tried this yet, then I would suggest trying out the steps here on our support page entitled

Troubleshoot your Xbox One wireless controller. It has a pathway specifically for if your controller disconnects randomly.

When you get a chance, give that a shot and let us know how that helped out.
