    Elite Controller, Windows 10 Adapter and Vibration


    Recently picked up a Wireless Adapter for Windows, and it's working great, except for the vibration feature. I can verify vibration is turned on, my controller has the latest firmware, and my adapter firmware is up to date. The vibration feature does NOT
    work when plugged directly into the computer via USB cable, so I feel like the driver for this controller on this PC does not have the vibration feature. I have also tried restarting with the adapter already plugged in, and unplugging/replugging the adapter.

    Any advice here? I found a video online that pointed me to a driver on the update catalog site, but when I tried to install it the device manager told me it already had a more recent update installed. If anyone could point me toward a driver that would enable
    vibration for my elite controller on Windows 10 I would be very appreciative!

    XBONE Elite controller on Windows 10 NO vibration

    Hi

    I have an elite XBONE controller running windows 10 and it does not vibrate during games, I have already done the following

    - updated drivers using the XBOX accessories app

    - Tried using the controller cabled & wireless same result

    - plugged in an original xbone controller played same games and vibration works

    - tried controller on XBONE and vibration works

    any other ideas?

    Xbox Elite Controller 2 will not connect VIA usb or Bluetooth to my pc

    The original XBox Elite controller requires the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 so without that adapter it will not be recognized properly by Windows. The newer, Elite Series 2 can connect to a Windows 10 PC without the need of an adapter.

    Hi Tony,

    Since you say you've tried a different controller and the issue persists, then we should look to troubleshoot the PC itself.

    First, fully restart your PC. Once it's restarted go ahead and open up the Xbox Accessories app. When your Elite controller appears go down and select the three dots under Configure. Go to Buzz and test the vibration. If you don't feel anything, back out
    and select Configure. You can manage the vibration in the Elite controller from here by just going over to the Vibration tab at the top after you go into the Configure section. Make sure your vibration is not turned off.

    What wireless adapter is needed to connect xbox elite controller to windows 10?

    That adapter will WORK with the Elite controller.

    When I got my Oculus Rift, the set included the older model of the Xbox Wireless USB Adapter with a Xbox controller, and my Elite Controller works on my Windows 10 PC with that adapter.

    The newer version is simply a bit smaller.

    So you do NOT need a special "Elite" wireless adapter (which doesn't exist).
