Elite controller warranty

I just want to thank microsoft for the facetious little smart*** who is deliberately not listening and asking dumb questions that he already has the answers to.

In the past 15 I have had no problem on warranty issues at all.

Nowadays it seems to be the norm to deliberately waste the customers time and patience and think it is funny once you see that they are frustrated.

Job well done!

7 days left on my warranty.

And now you won't send me a shipping label and confirmation #??????

And to top it off even further now on your website it somehow shows that the item has been shipped for repairs by me???

Well funny it is still sitting here broken, and as of yet it has not been shipped.

Yes my patience is thin.

After repeating over and over again what the problem is he continues to deliberately be facetious and not listening on purpose.

Fact #1

last time I warrantied the same item I received a shipping label via email from Microsoft.

Fact #2

This time the guy thinks it's funny to act dumb, tell me I have to pay for shipping and and ask me a bunch of questions after I have spent 30 minutes and made two phone calls to try and resolve this issue.

Fact #3

Microsoft is still selling elite controllers for 149.99 and have made no effort to correct the defect in manufacturing of the bumpers breaking on every single one of them.

Just Google it.

I will probably be ordering a new scuff controller, or aftermarket.

Thank you for the past service experience.

I'm done wasting time with employees that are either not trained properly, or should be terminated.

Extended Warranty - Elite Controller

The normal warranty on the Elite Controller is 90 days. Is there an Extended Warranty for the Elite Controller, like there is of an Xbox One?

That's not good at all. Have you called the Official Support number? It might help if you talk to a person on the phone with this. Call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and they should be able to set you up and get this problem resolved. Thanks!

They recently extended the warranty for elite 2 to one year. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/elite-controller-series-2-warranty . maybe this will help

Hey JtK,

The Elite controller is definitely a very nice step up from the controller that comes with the console. You get a lot of opportunities for customization, and it feels great. If I understand your question correctly, you're wondering if the warranty on your
console will carry over to the Elite controller? Is it a warranty through Xbox or a third party such as Best Buy? The warranty on your Xbox will cover the Xbox and controller that came with it, but not the separately purchased Elite controller. If the warranty
is through a third party, it would be best to check with them. Hope this helps!

support.xbox.com/.../warranty-and-registration-faq and I cannot find a way to extend a warranty online? I have no device registered by Xbox yet.

Is it a standard controller or an Elite controller?

If it’s standard you’ll have to replace the controller unfortunately. If it’s an elite you can get it serviced or replaced if it’s still under warranty.

They will replace/repair out of warranty controllers so long as they are not Elite controllers.
