Elite Controller V2 And Hair Trigger Lock Sleeves coming off Again!!

The same issues still exist with my second replacement now,the rear trigger lock sleeves have just come off and keep coming off when put back on..Surely it is time for these pads to be recalled Microsoft.

Hey all Merry Xmas and a Happy New year

I have been using my xbox elite v2 pad since 2nd November 2019 and have had no issues with the rear hair trigger locks responding to whatever setting,BUT,now during the past few weeks the rubber covers flirt off when changing a setting.

The rubber or silicone sleeves that cover these hair trigger locks are now having major issues to the extent that they come off when the trigger lock is moved and without them on,both trigger lock switches are very pointed and feel like pins or needles are
sticking in the fingers,making this pad unuseable.

These trigger lock switch covers are so small i have been very lucky to find mine after they flirt off unexpectedly with use.But what a pain it is to even try put them back on.

Surely these should come glued or permantly fixed onto the hair trigger locks and if they have,then surely we again (just like the poor glue used for the v1 rubberised grips) have glue issues.They should not come off regardless of little time used.

If they dont come glued on then that is why this is happening and i can see this becoming a major issue for ALL v2 purchasers.

like i said,they are so small that i can see the majority been lost after coming off unexpectedly and then giving discomfort through the sharpness without the sleeves on.

Through Very, who i purchased the pad from,i have had to get a service request reference number from microsoft,to even try and get this defective,faulty,expensive joypad replaced.

I just hope the replacement does not have the same issues and curious to see if anyone else has experienced this major design flaw.

Like i stated,this has just happened over 2 months after receiving the replacement.So come on people,check those rear trigger lock sleeves on your Elite v2 pads and give your feedback,Thanks.

If you have the sleeves then just glue them back on carefully.I know under warranty we should not even have to do this for something that has supposedly passed QC!

But in your case and out of warranty i would definitely glue them back on with a tiny amount of superglue when in the middle position.

Sad but True for an expensive MS pad.They should all be recalled.

Mine also fell off and my bumpers also dont work properly. They made the controller just barely good enough to survive through the warranty so when it does break the warranty has already ended. Pretty sure it was done on purpose to make people buy more
of them

I too am now experiencing this issue. I bought the controller near the end of February and the cover slipped off yesterday (unbeknownst to me), so I am now left with a pointy little lab as well :/ SMH

Same issue here. it happened two weeks after the end of the warrenty. had a long chat with support which was VERY helpful but because the controller was bought in the US and is now in Europe they could not help. and with the travel ban there is no way we
can get it to the US.

A pretty disapointed son who spend a lot of money on a controller which is almost useless.

Is there anything what can be done here:

- replacement within the EU?

- Repair kit?

- advice on what to do?
