ELITE Controller Trigger Problem

I've had my Elite controller for a little while now and have been very happy with it, but recently I've had trigger problems. I've been playing it on my PC lately with no problems when I found the Xbox Accessories Windows 10 App. It required updating the
controller, which it automatically did wirelessly. I played around with button mappings and profiles and such. When I got to the trigger section, I noticed that it was showing a half of a full trigger pull reading when I wasn't touching the controller at all
and now in every game I play, it acts as though I'm holding down the right trigger... I've tried everything... Re-learning it to the computer, defaulting the profiles, changing the batteries, everything... But so far nothing's fixed this false trigger reading...

Red Dead Redemption doesn’t work

Found a fix for Elite controller. Turn off trigger stops on rear of controller. People with other controllers may have same problem it could be due to controller settings, not sure.
