Elite Controller Thumbsticks Not Very 'Snappy'

Is this by design? What I mean is that if I push the stick all the way in one direction and then let go, the stick doesn't snap back to center as quick or as quickly as it does on the standard One controller or on the 360 controllers. It just kind of slides
back and wobbles a tiny bit when it gets back to its resting point. It's not something that seems to drastically affect my play, but it's taking a bit of getting used to. I figure it might be because of the magnet system used for the interchangeable sticks,
but I'm not sure.

If it's something that's common among all Elite controllers, then that's fine. I just wanna make sure that mine isn't in any way faulty or anything like that. Thanks for any input!

where can i order new elite controller thumbsticks ?

my dog ate one of my sticks and i am not able to register my elite controller seperatly, so i cannot order replacement parts for it...

they seem pretty hard to find in europe and i really prefer original parts.

( the elite controller was not a bundle controller, so i cannot select console warranty )

When I first got my Elite controller, I thought the sticks did feel loose compared to the standard controller (It still snapped back to the middle on mine though), but after comparing to my other (regular) Xbox One controllers,
the difference is negligible, if any at all. The sticks on the Xbox 360 controllers are far more stiffer than the Xbox One (and the Elite) controller, though.

 

My wife got me one of these.

I would never have bought one myself.

However they are very well made. Just lined 3 controllers up together and all thumb sticks snap back the same way at the same speed.

 

Thanks for the replies! Yeah, doing some swapping back and forth between my stock controller and the elite, there really is no difference, I think it just felt like it because I was experimenting with the convex and the longer concave sticks, which felt
a lot different.
