    Elite Controller Settings


    I finally managed to order an elite controller yesterday. Hasn't arrived yet but when it does I noticed there's a settings app for it. I bought it mainly to use with my PC so I'm wondering that if I use the app on the xbox one to edit the settings if the
    controller will keep those settings for PC use. I'm very much not putting Windows 10 on my PC just to get the PC app for the controller.

    Elite Controll - Settings lost

    The last update of the Elite Control configuration app deleted all the settings I made (Quantum Break, Ori etc). Would you like to know how I recover these settings?

    Pretty sure you can do what you ask. You can save 2 configurations to your controller.

    It's a new setting on Steam. To change the color:

    On the Desktop:

    - Steam menu > Settings > Controller

    - Select "General Controller Settings"

    - Select your connected Xbox Elite controller from the bottom list

    - Click "Preferences"

    Under Big Picture Mode:

    - Settings cog > Controller Settings

    - Select your connected Xbox Elite controller from the bottom list

    - Click "Preferences"

    Or to turn off the setting, disable Steam's "Xbox Extended Feature Support" driver option.

    it's a normal or elite control, if you're elite you can set things like sensitivity in the app accessories, I recommend you regardless of the version of your control check that it has the latest updates

    Hey ChampThomas,

    When it comes in i would first check that everything that should be included with the controller comes in:

    • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller
    • Carrying case
    • Set of 4 paddles
    • Set of 6 thumbsticks: standard (2), tall (2), and domed (2)
    • Set of 2 D-pads: faceted and standard
    • USB cable
    • AA batteries

    The official microsoft site for the elite controller is https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/controllers/elite-wireless-controller and
    has some really good images for you to at least visually compare to see if it is the real deal.

    I know that on my controller it feels heavier than a regular controller and a dead give-away is that when it is paired with the Xbox your console will recognize it as an elite controller and let you customize the button mapping (including the fancy paddle
    buttons on the elite) when you open the Xbox Accessories app.
