  1. Elite Controller Series 2 button issue

Apparently I've been Xboxing for 14 years now. I couldn't afford the first Elite controller when it came out - bought it anyway, it was great. When I heard the Series 2 was coming I had time to save up so I could get it on day 1, and this time they were
saying I could use it with the next Xbox console when it released, perfect.

I don't know when it started exactly because each game is different, but last month while I was play Jedi Fallen Order and later Tony Hawk 1+2 it became very obvious that the A button was either a) not registering a press or b) registering multiple presses
(most likely due to intermittent contact). So I googled it, it's a known and widespread issue that Microsoft has even acknowledged, it seems, although not officially or to the extent they're willing to make things right.

So I went to get support, turns out chats and/or phone calls are "not available" for this issue, which is fine, it's covid, I get it, not even mad. Xbox support twitter told me to try any issue until I could get a person, and I forget what finally got me
through, but imagine my disappointment when I found out my only option is to pay 100 USD to get it fixed because the 90 day warranty has expired.

The controller is less than a year old. It's a manufacturing defect. Surely somebody somewhere at Microsoft gets this and I just need to talk to them. Right now I have a $200 controller I can't use, and that still sounds crazy that I spent that much already,
in no world should I spend another $100 on it. Any help?

(and yes I've done ALL the updating and troubleshooting, the issue is obvious, reproducible, and again I'm not the only one)

    :)

    Xbox elite series 2 problems

I have had both the elite controller and also the elite series 2.

Issues with both are quite bad considering the cost of the things. The elite series 2 controller has left stick wandering issues, the a button is sometimes non responsive, the bumpers sound really tacky and the rubber comes away from the plastic body where
    you grip.

I have gone through 3 elite series controllers (thankfully Game exchanged them each time) and am on the fourth now and it has the exact same issues as the other three, with the acception of the rubber coming away, not had it long enough for that.

To sum up, I am very unhappy with the controller, so much so I am at the moment using an elite series one that has had all the rubber removed, its a bit uncomfortable but this said controller has no other issues.

    Hope this helped.

    Elite Series 2

There have been many issues with the Original Xbox Elite Controller Series 2. Peeling grips, sticky "A" button, and faulty bumper buttons were among the common issues at launch. Microsoft appears to have fixed the issues with the Series 2.

If your controller is under warranty, then repairs are free. If your controller is out of warranty, then you'll be charged a repair fee.

Xbox One Controller successfully connected to PC via bluetooth does not work with Windows apps.

There was a new update released, can you try updating your Elite Series 2 controller again?

I also have the Elite Series 2 controller and I do not run into these issues when using it with the PC.

    Elite series 2 controller

My elite series 2 rb button doesnt work and i cant find a replacement button how do i fix this
Microsoft knew the controllers were defective and still sold them as a good product. they wont do anything to fix your controller because its most like out of warranty thats why the warranty was so short. The whole elite series 2 was a scam
