“I believe its an issue with assigning the controller to a profile because as soon as I pressed the profile button on the controller the light changed back to white and I just cycled back to the default profile and seemed to fix the problem. Ill update if otherwise.”

Try updating your controller, go to My Game and Apps then Xbox Accessories then under your controller picture press "..." then press firmware it will then check for an update if there is one available it will install.

If that doesn't work you will need to request a repair you can do that here https://account.microsoft.com/devices/

So no update was available but I think i solved the issue. I belive its an issue with assigning the controller to a profile because as soon as I pressed the profile button on the controller the light changed back to white and I just cycled back to the

Thanks for the reply. The Elite controller series 2 has various methods of mapping the buttons and paddles as compared to the series 1. If you haven't done so already, I recommend taking a look at the following support articles that
