Elite Controller Right Bumper button broke and it only has a 3 month waranty!!

So I bought an x box elite controller maybe 5 months ago and the right bumper button stopped working and felt loose. Next thing I know the whole button comes off the controller. On top of that there is only a 3 month waranty. For a product that costs $150
dollars or close to 3x as much as a regular controller and still have a 3 month waranty is wrong. What is worse is I see there are other people who have had the exact same problem with either the right or left bumpers. Called support and they told me unless
I had the receipt showing proof of purchase. there was nothing they can do for me. It is total BS because their system tells them when a product is out of waranty but doesn't tell them the exact date the product was purchased. At any rate don't waste your
money buying a cheap chinese made controller that is over priced, lacks on quality as well as durability, and is only backed with the same **** 3 month warranty a normal controller is backed with. Wow Microsoft, you charge 3x the price for an accessory and
don't even put a year waranty on it...

Xbox elite controller xbox scam. Don't ever buy elite controller.

I bought the Xbox Elite that came with the elite controller, i took care of the elite controller like it was my precious, never drop it or anything, then after 10 months the RB button bumper broke due to the use i guess... then i call xbox support and they
told me the elite controller only has 3 months of warranty. only 3 months? WHAT, so what should i do with this broken 150$ controller? They told me they cannot fix it or replace it because the short time warranty. They told me i would have to buy another elite
controller, Are you serious xbox? The elite controller should be indestructible! is a 150$ controller how can this happened? And how xbox don't give more warranty time to the costumer, at least AT LEAST a year for such expensive controller. The controller
works perfectly fine is just the RB bumper that is broken, but now is trash according to xbox support and i have to buy another one. This is not fair xbox, you are playing with kids feelings here. I've been a costumer for more than a decade buying all xbox
products so you guys can tell me that there is nothing to do and that i have to buy another 150$ controller and for what? If i buy another xbox elite controller it will break again because they are cheaply made, is not true they are made with the best parts,
that's not true they are made with plastic that is easily breakable, trash. Don't ever buy a elite controller.

Im on my 4th elite now and the right bumper just broke off after only two months. This is not okay Microsoft.

 

Its true ... the controller is over priced and only has a 3 month warranty, it sucks.

I preffered to purchase another brand.

 

Same problem, they just told me to buy another too, no solution or alternative or any form of compensation. over 10 years of purchases and loyalty to Xbox and they repay me with making me buy another £120 'Elite' controller, which I won't be doing.

 

There are so many customer since 10 years ago, Xbox cant compensate all the loyal customers, all will wants compensation gift. The solution is: purchase another cheaper brand.

 

I've also had issues with mine. Mine was that the upper left paddle went out conveniently at 4 months in and couldn't get it replaced. I tried just using the bottom row and now the bottom left paddle went out. Can they at least have a program to repair
the controller for a cheaper price than $150 dollars.

 

Wow! that's messed up! They sell you that expensive of a controller and its made of cheap plastic! Microsoft should do a mass recall on all controllers and replace the cheap plastic bumpers with metal ones, or offer a full refund on all of their controllers.
Furthermore, they should stop making cheap junk, and charging so much for it! Even better, they should make their 360 controllers backward compatible so we can actually have a solid wired controller. Not the crappy charge cable that you plug in to you controller
that breaks all of the time. Stop ripping us off Microsoft. You make plenty of money! Stop being greedy!!! At least if we are going to have to pay 60+ USD, make the controller solid!
