Elite controller RB loose and wobbly

Ive had 2 elite controllers for my xbox1X and after trying to add the 1st to my devices for warranty protection, i was shown that its not possible. This was nearly if not over 2years ago. I really thought a control pad that costs £120-160 would stand the
test of time however the RB button was the only issue. Frustated with the warranty page not accepting my serial no. I left the service and repair pages it hoping it wouldnt break. At the time, its like there was no option to add accessories, only consoles
and computers etc. Fast forward 8months and the RB button makes me revert to the standard controller included with my console as any type of movemment would make it hang out of its socket. At the time, I go back to the repair centre where now there is a section
for accessorises but when I enter the serial, it says its out of warranty. Upset, I order another and when it arrived, determined to not have the same thing happen to me again, i go to the devices list to add my new elite controller. At my surprise ... It
didnt accept the new serial. I go to the device list again, this time to add my new Surface book 2. This works, so i try to add the Surface pen 2 which i bought just a couple days prior and there it is again, not accepting another accessory for the reason:
product is out of warranty.

With no accessories in my devices section, i am unsure of how if something were to break or become faulty, how am i supposed to log it officially.

Fast forward 10 mths and just yesterday, my 2nd Elite controller RB button has become loose and wobbly annd only stays in its socket by a piece of connected plastic. There is now a comprehensive controller troublshooter page which let me try to diagnose
my controllers issue, none of which could help obviously. Got to the section for service and repair, enter the serial and of course tells me im out of warranty. I need help urgently, not really from this forum, but from microsoft directly. Written with contol
pad, nearly an hr spent. Pls help

I had problems with my analog stick becoming loose, good tip buy your elite controller from a game.co.uk local store and get the 2 year warrenty for an extra £25 and if anything goes wrong they will exchange it for a new one right there and then in the shop,
make sure to keep your box and all accesories as they will need them so they can get it fixed and sell it second hand and you get a brand new one so happy days.

maybe not the response you was looking for someone telling you to buy a new one but thought id let you know incase you decided to upgrade to the Elite 2 in the future

You're right, not really the response I was looking for but thankyou anyways.

when the new one was announced, I just thought pffft. That's what the latest releases have made me feel.

did you have the problem of adding devices to your list?

Hi. So when you say wobbly, do you mean it wobbles and seems loose when you eject the tray?

Don't worry we will work on this together. This means the issue is on the controller. You'll be needing to process a replacement for it. This link will guide you how to process it:

I figured it out... For some reason the website says the controller is unregistered but when I use Xbox's virtual assistant it, it worked fine and read the controller IS in fact registered, must be a problem with the website. All is done and the order is sent awaiting approval, fingers crossed. Tired of the back to back cheap feeling controllers I receive. Thanks for your opinion/guidance on this.
