Elite Controller Problems - Possible Firmware or Software?

I bought a brand new Elite ontroller and I'm having some odd issues with it. I'll try to make this brief as possible.

1 - When I go into the accessories app within my Xbox One X console to configure the controller, the switch on the controller will say it's in profile 1, but the app says the controller is switched to profile 2. If I flip the switch on the controller to
2, it'll say I'm in 1 in the app.

2 - When I configure settings on the controller, the app automatically, for no reason, changes my d-pad right to d-pad down.

If reset all profiles and the keep everything default, it works fine. However, I bought the Elite controller to configure it.

Ultimately, is there a way to reset the firmware (already checked for update) on the controller or the app on the console?

We apologize for this peculiar issue but rest assured we are here to help. Unfortunately there is no simple way to reset the controller, the best course of action would be to reset the console itself
with the controller plugged in. A >Soft
Factory Reset< (while keeping games and apps) should do the trick IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

There is a stable network connection.
The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup since this will both sync and update the OS of the console and the drivers on the controller. Give it a shot and let us know
of any changes!

Sorry, no. Its still acting like switch 1 is profile 2 and profile 2 is 1.

How do I reset the controller or software?

sorry to hear your problems...

For the first point:

Before to do anything else, I'll suggest you some (Mod Removed-Inapropriate) trick that can works; when you configure your controller try to switch from one profile to the other, then turn off your elite pad, switch the profile when it's
off and now turn it on and see what's happening...

For the second point:

It is strange, i will try to configure the pad, power cycle the console and try again to configure...

Have you tried reinstalling the accessories app?Or made sure the console doesn't need an update as well. I have only used the accessories app while my controller is plugged in. I would try Itilianm0nst0r's suggestion to. That may be the fix right there

Specialists since they are the best equipped, tool wise, to look into warranty information since the next thing to do is to set up a repair or exchange since it seems to be hardware failure. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes
