Elite Controller problem

Would like to find out if anyone else is having this problem. I've been having an issue with the Elite controller, where when pressing the A button the console doesn't respond. Whatever command you have highlighted, it will blink when the button is pressed
but that's it. I can move around the dashboard, even then it skips around like every two or three blocks, never the next one in line. It happens on my day one edition of the One and the X, only with the Elite controller. Yes, I've shut everything down and
rebooted. Yes, I've made sure the controller and consoles are updated. Yes, I've removed the batteries and replaced them. I am in the testing groups on both consoles. After awhile the controller does goes back to acting normal.

Elite Controller Problem

I've had an elite controller since January 2016 and it was great but over the last 2 months it's been playing up. It makes the game I'm playing go very choppy/laggy (stop start) until it kicks me out of the online game and then says I need a connection to
play online even though I'm still online and chatting to friends in a party and also the sounds go all fuzzy through my turtle beaches. In some cases the controller will just disconnect and turn back on in which it will be fine for an hour or so then repeat
or in other cases it will just turn the whole system off, I turn back on and again it's fine for a few hours. I sent my controller to Microsoft last month as it is still In warranty and they replaced it. Its been fine until tonight, it's started playing up
again, I've changed batteries and even had the wire plugged in and it still happens. There are no controller updates and all the troubleshooting steps on the website have been followed and nothing. Not sure what to try now?

(I have 2 Xbox ones, a day one edition and a 1tb Xbox one S it happens on both of them.)

Elite Controller Problem

Hello, I am having an issue with my Elite controller.

On configuration One - The left trigger does not work, at all. I originally just thought it was an issue on Star Wars, Battlefront, but after trying to make a configuration for another game, I noticed it does not work anywhere else either.

When in the Xbox accessories app, it allows me to remap it, but it still doesn't do anything. Say I set LT to engage the A button, when I press LT, it doesn't activate the A button.

I thought it was that the LT button had broken, but it works 100% fine on Configuration 2. I can even remap it on config 2.

I've also tried restoring the default button configuration to see if that would fix it, but that still did not fix it.

Is there anywhere to basically reinstall those controller updates it had me first install? I feel like that might be a potential fix for this issue.

 

You might try a hard reset on the Xbox console

- Hard reset the Xbox - Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

You might consider a console reset and choosing the Reset and Keep my games and apps

The following options are for a standard controller. The Elite controller has an option for either clearing or resetting a stored configuration. I forget how that works but you might try that in the steps below.

Controller troubleshooting. If it's a software issue with the controller, this should help.

1) Settings > Kinect and Devices > Devices and Accessories > More Options

2) Select Firmware version, (even if it states no update available) and then choose Update Now.

- When its done it should state no updates needed

- Choose Close

3) Choose More Options > Select Assigned to and re-assign your profile to your controller

4) Buzz the controller. It should buzz. If it doesn't, either the feature is turned off or the batteries are low. Use new batteries and test again.

5) Go back to Configure and choose Restore Original. This resets the controller back to defaults

6) Pull the batteries out of the controller and leave them out until the Xbox has restarted from the step below

7) Hard reset the Xbox - Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

8) Put batteries back in the controller

9) Re-sync your Xbox One controller to refresh the connection back to the Xbox.

10) With your headset plugged into the bottom of your controller

- Hit the Xbox Button on your controller and instead of choosing settings, choose Audio

- Make sure the Headset volume is all the way up

11) Now test the headset and see if it's working.

 

I used these steps exactly to no avail. Then I ran them through again and instead of just re-choosing my profile to be linked to on my Xbox I linked the controller to a different account and poof everything was fixed. I linked it back to my account and still
no issues.
