Elite Controller Out of Warranty Needs Repair

Hi I am trying to see my options of getting my elite 2 controller repaired it's warranty ended Nov.11 2021. I saw on Device Service & Repair that I can get mailed a accessory replacement with a fee of $79. However it doesn't specify what would be the replacement. Would it be a regular controller or exact model of the out of warranty controller? Just want a verify what the replacement would be.

Also would like to know what else can be done apart from this, if there is any such information.

They will replace/repair out of warranty controllers so long as they are not Elite controllers.

First we can not discuss self repair on these forums as it breaks the code of conduct.

Second, the warranty on the elite controller is 90 days in the USA/Canada and 1 year in the EU. Out of warranty repair is the cost of a new one.

The official warranty period for "accessories" (xbox one elite wireless is under that label) is 90 days, you're correct. Controllers wear out, and that's not avoidable BUT the elite and newer models are built with the past in mind.

And finally, if you need to get it repaired out of warranty, please see this page to order a repair or replacement and go to "replace an accessory." There will be a fee but I'm not sure of what that might cost.
