elite controller handle grip coming off

I am having this same issue. I get the limited warranty and liability and all that. I am not asking for a replacement or anything. That being said, this is a high end controller marketed at "hardcore" gamers. To have such a fundamental defect is unacceptable.
I have multiple older xbox controllers, playstation controllers and others that have had zero issues with far less use. I will certainly remember this when considering purchasing future accessories.

 

Just to say you can purchase new grips for elite controllers on ebay for around £12.99, I have just ordered mine and got another set just in case they don't last that long.

 

If your controller is out of warranty why not just put some super glue under the pads that are peeling. I agree it sucks that the pads are coming off such an expensive controller but you guys know that everything is made in China these days and that most
things made in China are crap.

under your console. Change the category to Accessories and then under select issue type select Elite Controller. Then input your PID number from the controller and click create repair order.

 

I had this issue also easy fix for me was to buy the replacement grips off ebay. there cheap enough.

it the point they are selling rubbish and then did nothing but stick their heads in the ground and speak from a stupid script and blame the people that buy them seriously if they had to do support face to face they'd step their game up or all we'd see is
Xbox support with black eyes and bruises they hide from the fact that they deal with customers in a cowardly way and why because it's over the internet in other countries

 

The same is happening to me now and the least they could do is be able to pop the grip back in instead of glueing it on because sweaty hands and glue don't mix

 

it's appalling really how they have no pride in their work but someone sells the grips on eBay so if you can force yours off and your issue is on the part that comes off you can fix it without M$ help

I tried this, they only give options for replacing pieces to the controller like the paddles and thumbsticks and d-pads. Nothing about the back grips.

 

my elite controller was just faulty from day 1, the grips are pealing off from the plastic, the chrome finish on the start button just slowly vanished over time and the super soft plastic they used for the shiny top piece and Lb and Rb chipped away as soon
as anything came in contact with them. Worst of all as soon as I call up the customer support complaining about this, they say that all of their lines are full, but as soon as I also mention that my warranty is over I get through to xbox support every single
time, Microsoft is probably the most scummy company I've bought something from, don't expect this thing to last over its warranty to start crumbling to disrepair.

 

I've bought 3 elite controllers and literally at 91 days of owning each of then the grip started peeling off. The worst part is if u try to put it back its like the grip is now to big for the controller and no longer fits correctly... this happened on all
3 of mine

 

You can buy new grips from scuff gaming for £25/$30 that I have found to be very good.

Mine is doing the same and after reading all the other replies I’ve come to the conclusion, this thing is a POS and not worth the money. They will not fix it without charging an arm and leg and it would be almost as expensive to buy another one. So much
for Elite. Very dissapointing Microsoft
