Elite controller grip fix

I have two Xbox Elite controllers and both have the rubberized grips peeling off, which is distracting, uncomfortable, and not at all the premium experience I was looking for when I bought them. The warranties are of course expired and Microsoft support
is not willing to replace them.

Does anyone have a fix for this? I've seen unofficial replacement parts for the outer panels, but the inner ones are really bad on mine too.

Xbox One Elite Controller Grip keeps coming off

My parents bought me a Xbox elite controller for Christmas last year and now the grip on the back of the controller are coming off. Is it possible for me to get another controller or how would I fix this?

Sending it in for repair would be the best option, but if it's past the warranty, you will have to pay for it.

I understand that the Rubber Grips are peeling off from the controller. The only Fix that we would be able to suggest would be attempt to get them set up for a Repair. Try going through the

Self Service site or simply
Contact Xbox Customer Support for further assistance.

Honestly this problem is the biggest horror. I have two ELITE gamepads, and for me both have this problem seven times. But it is already working on the ELITE v2 gamepad, where these issues will be solved.

 

I wonder if I missed something because the only elite controller repair options I see going through self service involve ordering replacement thumbsticks and other swappable parts, nothing in there about the grip.

After contacting support, they only mentioned the controllers being out of warranty (one of them by a month) and there was no replacement option. Should I just pester them again for repairs instead? is that financially sensible?

 

I hope it's not the white version you're referring to; near as I can tell, it's more of the same but a different color...
