Elite Controller Faceplate Squeaking

As the title suggests my Xbox One elite controller has randomly started to squeak. I last used it over 24 hours ago and since then has randomly started to squeak, it never made any noise or feel used before. I can press down on the face of the controller
by the right thumbstick and it'll make a loud audible squeak and I can feel the plastic move as if there's a space that shouldn't be there. When in my hands it feels like a rumble as the slightest twist movement makes it squeak. Using the triggers makes this
rumble squeak sensation and it's so distracting to the point where I can't concentrate on the game because of this.

Is there anyway I can fix this? Any way I can just force the plate back into place or tighten the screws as I know Microsoft's Warranty has long gone with me as I've had the controller since their release in October last year with no faults up until today.

Controller Help

A new 360 Elite? The "Elite" model is quite old, was it used? If so, there is possiblty a reason the orignal owners don't have it anymore. If no controller or remote is connecting, then it sounds like an issue with
the IR sensor (that shiny black ovular shaped thing on the faceplate). I recomend removing the faceplate and putting it back on. If that doesn't work, maybe replacing the faceplate, make sure the IR is plugging in all the way. If not, just return it.

Controller stick squeaks in multiple controllers

I bought an xbox 360 wired controller for pc. After few minutes the left stick started squeaking. I complained. I got a new controller. The new controllers left stick started squeaking after few minutes. My husband has a controller that doesn't have squeaking
sticks. Instead the LT and RT squeak. Is the quality of your controllers always this bad?

Haha, I'm assuming it's the metal spring causing the squeaking and not the plastic?

Annoyingly I just grabbed my Titanfall controller to squeak the trigger... And it's not squeaking, welcome back to the family again old friend!

Turns out the faceplate and the sensor cable was a little dodgy. Took the faceplate off completely and used the controller to turn the console on and it's been fine ever since. I'll head online and grab a new faceplate and all should be good! Thank you!
