Elite controller BUMPER ISSUE...

Good morning everyone,

yesterday was a bad day for me, my 4 months old elite controller decided to break...

the left bumper (used to jump in halo bumper jumper settings) broke after i attempted to jump to top mid in truth...

Since I'm addicted to halo, I did notwanted to ship my controller and wait for a new one... instead, I disassembled a OEM xb1 controller, took off the left bumper, then

I did the same with my elite controller BUT wait.. they used some kind of a cheaper bumper wich is not compatible to receive the other one from my oem controller...

Now i'm ***, I'm pretty sure microsoft won't honor the 1 year warranty on my controller and I cannot find replacement parts anywhere online :/

Does anybody have a solution for me or do i have to try to screw wal-mart by trading my controller with a new one...

Xbox one Elite controller Gears of war edition ( RB LB broken )

what came of your controller repair? I reached out to Microsoft support with a similar issue only it was the LB bumper , and they told me they can send me a standard elite controller, and nothing more.

Elite controller bumper broken

hi i live in europe their is a law witch says that every product are under warranty for 2 years.

Yesterday my elite controller had a problem with rb button the bumper is broken ,i had this controller in the xbox one elite pack 1to.

On 15 december 2015 the console is warranty since 2018 but can i get a replacement or a repair on that controller ? She has less than a year. Thank you for your help

You took apart an expensive controller well aware that it would void your warranty. Why should wal-mart lose out? Take responsibility for your actions and don't make the mistake again.

The bumpers on my launch day Series 1 Elite Controller finally broke a few months ago. Was disappointed that an otherwise perfectly functioning controller (never had the grip issue with mine) was rendered useless because of the poor design of the bumpers.
All the development that went into the Elite and no effort was made to improve this inherent weakness in all Xbox One controllers. I repaired it myself with a replacement bumper from ebay. Never had bumper issues with any of my 360 controllers.

No issues with the Elite. I used to have issues with the bumpers on the standard controllers losing their click far too quickly. The build quality on the Elite is far superior.

It is not possible to purchase bumpers for the elite controller directly from Microsoft, If the bumpers of your elite controller require replacing the controller would need to be sent to
Microsoft repair centre for this.

This is a constant issue. I’ve owned half a dozen elites, had many of those replaced for bumper or stock drift issues, and the snap-back direction reverse has been an issue in every single one. This is a design issue and not repairable. The elite controllers are great for so many reasons, but there are a few clear issues that if MS corrected or spent a fraction more money on, (like higher quality thumb sticks or better plastic or even metal parts in bumpers, etc. The controller would be most deserving of the “elite” moniker.
