Elite controller adapter issues

Sooo I have an XB1 elite and the elite controller. I previously used the adapter for headphones on older controllers but it doesn't fit perfectly on the elite controllers. (it doesn't go in all the way and therefor is very prone to being knocked out)

I don't mind plugging directly in but then I lose all control on balance and volume (usually the game volume is too high compared to volume of part chat etc and I cant hear people talking)

Are there plans to make a newly styled adapter for the elite controllers? Or is there an alternative method to get control over voice levels and game levels for the volume?

This has been bothering me since I got my elite. I like to use over the ear headphones so I can hear directional sound etc...

any suggestions or knowledge?

Xbox One Wireless Adapter (New Version) Doesn't work with Xbox Elite controller Windows 10

Hi

I recently bought an Xbox One Wireless adapter for the PC to connect my Xbox One elite controller to use wireless. Now, I have no issues with drivers and such with seems to be the common issue people ask about, I have my old broke Xbox One controller which
I can still power on and sync but its broke mechanically, it connects to the adapter no problem but the Elite controller doesn't.

I checked before buying the adapter that you need it in order to use the Elite controller Wireless on a PC, I have Windows 10 up to date and have installed the drivers for the device manually, like I said it works with the my old controller which I have
now replaced with an Elite controller but it just doesn't connect to the adapter, they just constantly flash which until the controller turns off.

I have also loaded the Xbox accessories and updated the Controller itself too, but no luck. It works wired but for £120 I at least want the luxury of playing wireless as well considering I got the adapter as well and I could do it on the normal controller.

Xbox Wireless Adapter losing connection constantly (Elite Controller)

First off the Xbox Accessories app is terrible, it takes forever and half the time I only get the "Connect a controller" screen when the controller has already been paired.

I can't even get Battlefront to recognize the controller when it's wireless. If I'm plugged in BF detects it fine, but I payed for the wireless adapter and would like to use it.

Anyone else having issues with the wireless adapter and Elite controller?

 

I thought the Elite controllers had the 3.5 mm jack instead of the adapter jack. I guess not .

 

Some headsets need their own branded adapter to work.

 

OK looking at the controller online it shows a headphone jack right next to where the headset adapter would plug in. So you don't need the adapter.

 

You can adjust the volume in the settings menu.
