Elite Controller 3.5mm Audio Jack doesn't work straight away

Yes , they work . But i want to be able play further away from pc that's why i need to put headphones trough xbox controller. No audio device apear when i plug in headphones in to 3.5mm jack .

the xbox one doesnt work with usb headsets yet only specially licensed ones like the turtlebeach Stealth 500x or the Elite 800X work with USB on the transmitter plus optical out.

you might want to check for headsets that use a single 3.5mm jack as a connection like the razer kraken or Turtlebeach X0 One/Four/Sevens and other ones that either come with a propietary Stereo Chat adapter or IF you have one of the new controllers with
the 3.5mm Jack built in just a straight pluug in then. i am sure there are also lots of adapters that combine 2 3.5 mm jack headsets to a 1 3.5mm jack. the choice is all yours.

if the headphones are still not working after adjusting the Audio and Chat settings, it could be that the 3.5mm jack in the controller is faulty.

try testing with a different controller to see if it's the controller or the console that is the problem.

Are you sure the audio volume is turned up on your monitor settings?

What 'speakers' did you buy?

Most PC type speakers that connect via a 3.5mm audio jack should work. However, as the audio output port doesn't provide power, you'll need a set of powered speakers connected to the mains supply.

I don't have one as the headset just plugs straight in it's definitely the 3.5mm jack on the controller that is the issue
