Elite Controller 2 with stick drift - Only 4 Months old

DON'T BUY AN ELITE CONTROLLER FROM MICROSOFT!

I have an Elite Controller (series 2) that has an issue with the left analog stick causing drift. This is 100% a manufacturing issue. I've run through the gauntlet of M$ support for my issue and it looks like they don't care about the issue because it's
outside of the 90 day warranty.

A basic description of the issue: When I push up or down on the left analog stick and then release, the stick still registers that I'm holding my thumb on the stick in said direction. To see this happen all I have to do is go into settings and then configure
the Elite controller. On the left stick tab (where you can adjust sensitivity), I just need to point the stick in any direction and then let go... the graphic will show that I'm still holding the stick in said direction even though I'm not. Also, the stick
is not lose in any way, it's new and it just snaps back to the center when I let it go.

I will use the extended warranty I purchased for $20 to get this fixed since it makes sense financially, but I'll be purchasing Scuf controllers from now on.

I just wish M$ would own the problem and fix it. It feels like they expect me to donate money to Microsoft at this point; they want me to pay $100 to fix a $200 controller that they broke in their manufacturing process.

most of their new controllers are having drift on the left, thinks its to do with using it as run and the constant clicking in and forward.

They seem to be using very cheap parts lately, i bought a power a controller with rear buttons on for £30, not a single issue lol.

That is strange. I've only ever had stick drift on my old 360 controllers. I don't know if the standard Xbox one controllers have it, but the Xbox Elite controller sticks can be adjusted to have dead zones to avoid drift. Check in the Xbox Accessories
app if you can adjust it for normal controllers.

Have my elite controller set up and still drifts. Can't do standard controller. Did notice they drift worse on any COD.

I bought 2 Elite controllers at the same time from Microsoft. Less than 5 months the first one had button issues and stick drift. Microsoft offered replacement. Just sent it and the second started with the exact same problems, LB not working Stick drift
Microsoft says too bad no warranty. 5 months old and $500 for 2 controllers. I have made several requests and keep being told they are not under warranty. Can anyone help?
