Elite Controller 2 Thumbstick Phantom Input Help

Good morning community,

Looking for help with my Elite Controller 2. I bought it new in December and within the last month or so it developed light stick drift on the right thumbstick, mostly noticable in menus.

I went to play the other night and the right thumbstick had a phantom input fully in the right direction and will not register any left/right input. It's not just drift, but almost full input to the right. There is no physical resistance that I can feel.
The button testing app confirms the right thumbstick is not registering left or right motion, but up/down works fine.

This is an adult owned controller, no kids in the house. Very light use so it should not be worn out.

My warranty expired April 11 and support told me they won't replace it. I'm extremely frustrated because I'm certain I didn't cause this failure. I haven't dropped it or spilled anything on it or do anything to damage it.

Does anyone have any suggestion on how i can fix this? I've tried resetting to default and messing with the input sensitivity but nothing has worked. It's unusable.
