I'm sorry you're having trouble with your Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. If you are having issues with your second new controller, I would recommend looking into the warranty for the controller instead of purchasing a new one. Warranty information for Microsoft

Hope this helps at least solve the cost problem of your controller not working properly. I have one myself and haven't found this to be an issue, so hopefully, you can get a new one that works as it should.

Well, I purchased my Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 in November of 2019, my warranty expired on March 16 of 2020. It is now April 16th and my right thumbstick does not register when pushed down. I would
consider myself a moderate gamer but for argument sake lets just say I put this controller through hell and back. For a controller that is almost $200, this was a ripoff. I haven't been this disappointed with a controller since I purchased the first Xbox Elite
Controller which I had to replace 2 times simply because the grips keep coming off due to the cheap glue they used.

All Xbox accessories carry a 90-day warranty. This includes headsets, controllers, battery packs, chat keyboards, etc.

I would like to provide a reference towards a program that cover controller and console, you get up to two replacements of a standard controller or one replacement of an Elite or Elite Series 2 controller, and one replacement of the console – no deductible
required. This is the
Microsoft Complete program, but it does have some perquisites you need to meet before you can purchase it.

You can still request an
Xbox controller replacement, but this will require you to verify your controller warranty.
