Elite 2 Controller Repair Order Confusion

So, here goes. February 19th I made a repair order for my Elite 2 controller that was less than a month old. I proomptly recieved an email with the repair order and all the details on how to return it, so I did just that. Fast forward to the 28th and i
recieve another email from Microsoft issuing a repair order and instructions on how to return it. Mind you this was different instructions on how to return it. I was so confused and I had already shipped the controller out. I got to looking on the emails.
The first email literally says "Controller", then the serial number. I didn't check the serial number. For whatever reason it was my Xbox serial number. Why would i even think to confirm it when it literally says controller and that's the only repair order
I even applied for. I never entered my xbox serial number anywhere. The second set of instructions with the new repair order says "Elite Series 2 Controller" and it has the correct serial number, yet this is a totally different repair order and i got the email
well over a week after I initially submitted it. If you I log into my xbox account it only has the latter repair order on it. Did the other one just dissappear out of thin air? I'm lost. I sent the controller to the returns center in McAllen Tx. It's already
been recieved. I'm not sure what's going to happen. I just don't understand all the confusion here and how this happened. I have copies of all the emails. I've tries to talk to real people with no success. I've sent out emails. I guess I just have to wait
and see what happens. Does anyone else have any advice?

I've been to that link several times. I don't see a number posted anywhere. If I scroll through the categories with my issue it literally says phone support isn't available for this issue. I'll gladly call a number and talk to a real person. I just need
to know where that number is exactly.

I'm sad to hear what happened, you are worried with a good reason.

Have you been able to contact Microsoft directly? If I were you, I would try to call the Xbox Support center so they would be able to tell you how to address what happened.

Just explain them everything that happened (as you have copies of all emails). Everything should be available in their databases and they should find the first repair order.

You have to request a call through that site. If you don't see the option, change your category/topic. Billing options almost always give that option.

I was upset when mine developed an issue, before I raised the service order I've asked a question and this is the reply I've received:

If your controller cannot be repaired it will be replaced with a brand-new one
