Elite 2 Controller has wrong input when using Bluetooth

I got one of the Halo Infinite Elite controllers recently, only just started using it but I've noticed that no matter what device I connect it to (NVIDIA Shield Pro, Surface Laptop 3 Windows 10, Custom tower Windows 11, Pixel 6 Pro), the buttons don't all seem to be mapped correctly. On Windows pressing A opens the game bar and B takes a screenshot. When it's wired I have no issues at all.

There doesn't seem to be any firmware updates available for it.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there quaz4 welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. If your buttons got weirdly remapped - you're probably using Steam.

Open Steam → Settings → Beta Update (Beta Participation)→ And Install the Beta Update.

Steam is the only platform, that didn't managed to install Series X Controller compatibility by default, so the mandatory update stored in Beta.

The first gen elite controller does not have Bluetooth as ti was not that popular when it came out. The second gen elite wireless 2 has Bluetooth in it.

the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.

You could try the new series 2 elite controller it has Bluetooth bulid in

The Elite controller does not have Bluetooth connectivity. The "S" controller has Bluetooth.
