Elite 2 controller bumper double click issue...

So ive had my elite 2 for about 5 months. Why is the warranty ona $200 controller only good for 3 months??? There are so many issues surrounding this controller but after 3 months if anything happens youre screwed.

My bumpers double click when i press them once. the game will see it as two clicks. this is a very widely reported issue. You can find hundreds of posts online with people complaining about this issue yet microsoft wont do anything to help me because the
warranty only covers 3 months....

My regular controllers that ive had for 6+ years have never had an issue yet when i finally talk my self into getting an elite, microsoft screws me and many of its customers. I SHOULDNT HAVE TO BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY IF I HAVE AN ISSUE THATS OBVIOUSLY
A MANUFACTURING DEFECT, ESPECIALLY IN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS FOR A $200 CONTROLLER!

yep and then you hit up support and the only option you have is to chat online with a "gamer" who says im out of luck because its been past 3 months. Cant even talk to anyone on the phone with this issue...

MATE you are a LEGEND!!! My LB button stopped working so I simply blew as hard as I can in the gap whilst pressing it down, now it works like new again. I am guessing food gets inside the small gaps and causing it to stop working. Thank you so much.. not
sure why i didn't think of trying something this simple before ><

Hey, I’ve had a very similar issue over the past couple of days. My favorite game is Rocket League, I play it all the time. When you are in the air, you can tilt your car left or right by “air rolling”. I had this “air rolling” command bound to my elite
series 2’s LB button. That LB button just recently started acting up. I would jump into the air and it would take a half a second to actually start air rolling. I went to the xbox accessories app and tested the LB button. Sure enough, it took a second to actually
register the click. This controller is extremely expensive, and my warranty ended a few months ago, so i started looking for a fix. I came across someone saying,”blow into the hole between the bumper and the trigger”. Several people were saying this. I didn’t
think it’d work, and I was correct, it didn’t..by itself. I then tried rapidly pressing LB while blowing, and it seems to be working properly now. Hope this helped. I’ll be updating this response if the LB button decides to stop working again. If you are reading
