Elite 1 & Elite 2 Accessory Compatability

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are inquiring about backwards compatibility with accessories for the Xbox One Elite Controller V2.

As the release date for the device is still a bits away [11/04/19], there is no solid information at the moment regarding what you are investigating about.

From what I can see about the accessory on the
Xbox accessory website, just as you stated, the detachable pieces look very similar in shape an size, and most definitely look like they would be able to be compatible with the new device.

However this is merely speculation on my end as well, and I would go so far as to say that this educated guess would still be potentially wrong to a certain extent.

Your best bet would be to wait just a bit longer for more details of this controller to arrive.

I don't think the elite control accessories are compatible with those in the series 2

No major Nelson done a video. And it looks like none of the the bits from elite 1 will be compatible with elite controller 2 👍

Well no elite controllers 2 were out for the past 2 years

If you mean the elite 2 core yes that was just released this year

The difference is elite 2 have the charging case and accessories like thumb pads etc

The core is the budget without the charger or accessories

And 14 day codes can't be used on previously subscribed accounts you get free 1 month anyways for a dollar

This was my only complaint about this controller. Fortunately the paddles from my spare Elite 1 fit and work perfectly. I was hesitant at first as I discovered the joysticks weren't compatible from the elite 1 to the elite 2 but the paddles do work. I've
been playing with the bigger paddles on my elite 2 since Thursday afternoon and I haven't noticed or had any issues.
