Eligible purchases for the "Get the most with Xbox Live" promotion

I was eager to cash in 5 bucks with the recent automatic renewal of my Xbox Live subscription but when I tried to upload the receipt (which is just a print screen, really), I was confronted with a list of retailers which don't include the very own Xbox Live
"store". By any chance this is not a valid purchase for the promotion?

Edit: Just found "Microsoft Stores" among the list. Is that it?

Then why do I keep getting messages from Xbox Live if i'm not "eligible" and I just bought a month because i'm done with this back and forth. Wonder again why I quit Xbox for a long time.

 

Sorry, editing timed out but I have another problem. I was searching my inbox and I didn't even received an email with the receipt for the renewal, it was just charged to my credit card. Is there anything I can do about it IF subscription renewal happens
to be valid?

 

The Microsoft Store is separate from the Xbox Live marketplace. It would not be the same as purchasing Live directly from Xbox.

Per the terms of the offer, During the Promotion Period, purchase an Xbox Live Gold Membership or an

Xbox gift card (for $15 or more) from a retail location (online purchases are

not eligible). It sounds like you have to purchase a prepaid card. Purchasing/renewing gold directly from Xbox would not qualify.
