Elgato Game Capture HD and Xbox One and splitter/switches

I have the Elgato game capture HD, works great with the Xbox One, but what I don't like is, when I have it hooked up I cant use any of my video apps, like Netflix, ESPN, my cable box through the HDMI pass through, VUDU. I'm fine with not being able to use
this while my Elgato is hooked up, but what I'd like to do, if it's possible, is hook up a switch/splitter and go out to the Elgato when I want to stream, and then have another out that just goes straight to my tv when I want to watch movies or other stuff
that won't work when the Elgato is hooked up. I'm not interested in streaming stuff other than gameplay, It's just such a hassle to plug in the Elgato to stream and unplug it when I'm finished. I've tried a couple things but nothing has worked yet. Does
anyone know of anything that will work how I want it to? I know I can stream with the Twitch broadcast app now, but I've always had problems using it and playing Titanfall for some reason, and honestly, the Elgato works great and is so easy to stream and
record gameplay for later editing and upload. I would just love to be able to use something that would let me stream when I wanted and watch stuff when I wanted without having to plug and unplug stuff all the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HDMI

You can use Component cables to do this. This is from the Elgato website:

Elgato Game Capture HD comes with a Component adapter. You will have to provide your own Xbox 360 component cable, made by Microsoft or another vendor.

The Xbox 360 shipped with Composite output cables, which work with Elgato Game Capture HD. You must install Elgato Game Capture HD 1.2 software (or above), to use Composite input with the Xbox 360.

Try setting the voice chat output to both speakers and headset.

You are probably running into an intentional block to prevent pirating of video content from ESPN, Netflix and VUDU. I doubt you will find a legitimate work around.

i have a elgato game capture device hoping i could use it without a external pc or laptop and get 720p 30 fps with clear quality. it is actually worse than the xbox game caputure device. i have contacted xbox to allow the twitch tv app on xbox one to allow
better upload speed for performance but recieved no reply. good luck.

o set up your Xbox for streaming on two monitors using an Elgato capture card and an HDMI splitter, you can follow these steps:

Connect Xbox to Elgato Capture Card:
- Connect your Xbox to the input of your Elgato capture card using an HDMI cable.
- Connect the output of the Elgato capture card to one of your monitors using another HDMI cable.
Use an HDMI Splitter:
- Connect the HDMI 1 input of the splitter to the output of the Elgato capture card.
